   As an important discipline of the hospital, Center of Tumor has begun to take shape led by Prof. Yingxuan Wang, a famous expert of tumor after nearly 10 years of construction, forming special medical center characterized by taking complex therapy of tumor. A batch of internationally advanced therapeutic equipment of tumor has been successively introduced, including three-photon accelerator, gamma knife, neutron knife, ultrasound focus knife, CT simulator, etc. The equipment and technique occupies domestic leading level with the total value of about RMB 0.12 billion yuan.

   The radiotherapy group: Three dimensional conformal radiation therapy and intensity modulation radiated therapy have been completed, and neutron therapy on the first case of gynecologic tumor in Beijing completed. The Department has been endeavoring to establish national standard of neuron chemotherapy. Routine therapy and three dimensional conformal radiation therapy of the tumor of each organ of the whole body, including esophageal carcinoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, lung cancer, gastric cancer, brain tumor, lymphoma, tumor of orbit, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, soft connective tissue tumor, etc. have been developed in the Department. Synchronous radiochemotherapy, preoperative and postoperative auxiliary chemotherapy on the tumor of each organ of the whole body have been developed. Palliative radiotherapy on patients with late stage tumor has also been developed to relieve their symptoms and prolong their life spans.

   The chemotherapy group: The Department occupies advanced level of the PLA in aspect of radiotherapy and chemotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, lung cancer, carcinoma of rectum with the coordination of radiotherapy group by taking chemotherapy of lung cancer, mammary cancer, carcinoma of large intestine, gastric cancer, lymphoma, tumor of testis as specialty.
