Institute of Orbital Disease is famous for diagnosis and treatment of tumor of orbit at home with substantial technique strength. Prof. Lihua Xiao, a domestic well-known expert of orbital disease serves as the director, Prof. Guoxiang Song, the founder of orbital disease serves as the honorary president of the Institute. Various kinds of operation of orbit have been first developed in China with very good effect. A great deal of patients with miscellaneous and stubborn orbital disease from all over the country pay a visit to the Institute which is sung high praise by domestic field of ophthalmology. At present the Institute is equipped with advanced standard ultrasonograph for orbital disease, electric saw and drill used in operation of orbit, cold light source head light, comprehensive eye examination table, modern image station, etc. Now a domestic first-rate pathological laboratory of tumor of orbit has been established which is responsible for some important scientific research projects. A ladder of talents in medicine, teaching and research has formed. Study and Atlas of Operation of Orbit, the only works in operation of orbit has been edited and published by the Institute, filling the blank of this field. The Institute has won one national 2nd prize of Progress in Science and Technology and Expertise Contribution Award of the PLA.
